Rostil 135mg Tablet relaxes the muscles in the walls of the intestines and thereby relieves the symptoms such as spasms, pain, cramps, etc. associated with irritable bowel syndrome.

Mebeverine is prescribed for the following conditions:

• Irritable bowel syndrome symptomatic therapy (IBS)

• Non-specific diarrhea that persists

✔️ Pharmacology

• Mebeverine inhibits calcium ion influx into the smooth muscle cells.
• This leads to decreased muscle contractions in the gastrointestinal tract.
• Smooth muscle relaxation results in relief from painful spasms and cramps.

✔️ Dosage & Administration:

For adults, elderly, and children over 10 years:

• Mebeverine Hydrochloride 135 mg tablet: 1 tablet three times daily.
• Mebeverine Hydrochloride 200 mg capsule: 1 capsule two times daily. This is most effective when taken 20 minutes before meals. After several weeks when the desired effect has been obtained, the dosage may be gradually reduced.

Use in Children: Mebeverine is not recommended for children under 10 years.

Missed Dose: If a dose of this medicine is missed, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and maintain the regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to compensate for the missed one.
